After successfully finalising the course you will be offered to become an EasySites Licensee. As a license holder you will be given full access to the EasySites platform from where you are able to design and build websites for your customers.

Being a license holder means you are given a business opportunity by the mother company Mountbatten Ltd, who grants you the rights for local distribution and (re)sale of their service (web hosting packages) and products (designing EasySites websites). In other words: each website you design for your customer needs to be hosted by a server on the Internet. Therefore your customer will need to buy a hosting package. Mountbatten will sell this package to you (the licensee) and you are on your turn re-selling it to your customer. The money you charge for designing and developing the website will be your own earnings. Unlike a franchise holder, you are not paying for use of the EasySites trademark in the form of monthly royalties.

In order to be eligible to represent and work on the EasySites programme and sell the EasySites product, the Licensee will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Mountbatten Ltd in which the terms and conditions for the licensees are described and agreed upon.

As an EasySites Licensee you benefit from full professional support from Mountbatten Ltd. This support includes:

• follow-up training;
• technical support;
• access to the EasySites platform and required software and USB stick;
• EasySites promotion materials;
• benefit from Mountbatten's large client database
• a marketing strategy for the EasySites trademark;
• customer service policy;
• financial & accounting procedures;
• and a quality control policy for each website that is designed.

Your income will depend on a few things. Most importantly, it will depend on how many websites you are able to design. Secondly, it will depend on the price you charge your customer for the website you are designing. We will give you an indication of the price you may be able to ask (taking into account the costs you make, the competition's price, costs for web hosting and domain name registration, time you spend), but you are free to develop your own pricing policy.

No. You do not need your own office space. Mountbatten will provide you with a lists of internet cafes in your area which have agreed to participate in the EasySites programme. You may be able to negotiate discounted rates for internet use and their premises may be used as a physical contact address for your customers to meet you. Potential customers will also be able to get information about EasySites and/or order an EasySites website at these internet cafes.

Of course you are free to run your business from any other (non-participating) internet cafe or office that has an internet connection, even from your own home. The only requirement is a computer or laptop with a good working internet connection.

No. You will be able to run your business from any workstation or internet cafe that has a computer or laptop with a working internet connection. You will be provided with a login password that provides access to the EasySites Builder platform. After login in, you will be able to configure and design websites for your customers online. Software for editing images will be provided to you on an USB stick. All your files will be stored on the EasySites server and you will be able to work from another workstation and still access your work the next time you log in.

Mountbatten will provide you with a lists of internet cafes in your area which have agreed to participate in the EasySites programme. You may be able to negotiate discounted rates for internet use and their premises may be used as a physical contact address for your customers. Potential customers will also be able to get information about EasySites and/or order an EasySites website at these internet cafes.

This will depend on your own motivation and the amount of customer requests for websites you choose to accept per month.

We have calculated that you probably have to finish a minimum of 1 website per month in able to make a reasonable profit (depending on your pricing policy and costs you make).

The time you spend on creating 1 website for a customer also depends on your skills. In the beginning you will most likely need more time to familiarise yourself with all the options of the EasySites Builder, and you might find yourself having to ask a lot of questions to EasySites support staff. After a while you may be able finish 2 websites or even 3 per month. Or just continue as a part-time licensee and make only 1 site per month. It is up to you!

Yes, as an EasySites Licensee you are responsible for marketing your own business, and hence actively search for new customers. But you will receive assistance from us in doing so.

Pre-market research has showed that there is large demand for high quality, but affordable websites amongst the medium and small scale enterprises (SME), NGO and tourist branch in Kampala and surroundings.

Mountbatten Ltd has a large network and client database that may assist you in finding potential customers. We will also actively promote the EasySites trademark in general, through adverts in daily papers, radio and other suitable media channels. On the EasySites website you will have your profile listed, including links to the websites that you already have created. Potential customers will be able to view your profile and websites and contact you directly. The higher the quality/creativity of the websites you are making, the higher your profile will be ranked/ listed on the website, the more likely the chance that potential customers will contact you. You may also advertise your business by handing out business cards and brochures/stickers that we will provide to each Lisencee.

If you want to make a reasonable profit, you will have to design at least 1 website per month. The more websites you make, the higher your profit will be. In the case that you are not able to find enough customers, you will need to increase your networking and marketing skills. We will do our best to assist you with this and may supply you with customer leads if we feel this is appropriate.

You are strongly recommended to use the EasySites Builder for the design of your websites. If you choose to use any other design tool or template we will not be able to give you the technical support service that we provide for the EasySites Builder. Also, we will not be able to feature your website on the EasySites website for potential customers to view. We cannot allow you to use the EasySites trademark on a website that was not build with the EasySites Builder.

Anyway, our EasySites Builder is so cool, you would probably not even think about using another tool!
